I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you on reading this whether you are a parent, student or simply interested in the work we carry out here in St Joseph’s Adolescent School. (SJAS). SJAS is a Catholic school which aims to promote the full and harmonious development of all aspects of the individual student - academic, physical, mental, cultural, moral and spiritual, including a living relationship with God and with other people. SJAS is recognized as a special school which functions to provide a therapeutic and supportive milieu within the school setting for students suffering from severe emotional and behavioral difficulties, particularly in relation to mental health concerns.

 

We have a superb, specialised, enthusiastic teaching team where the focus is always on the holistic development of every student to reach to their potential. We work in very close partnership with St. Joseph's Adolescent and Family Services to deliver an education that is stimulating and suitable for the students’ needs for this period in their life. We believe education to be an essential element of rehabilitation in the lives of adolescents experiencing mental health difficulties.
