Nurses are the first people you will meet on your arrival to the unit. Together with the Doctor they will complete an initial assessment with you.

Nurses along with members of the team will work alongside you to provide careplans for your individual needs.

Nursing staff are available at all times on the unit. They work with us both individually and in group settings to provide education and support around why we have been admitted to the unit and what they can do for us.

They try to provide the us with a normal routine with regards to sleep, diet and personal care. Nurses will administer medication if this has been prescibed by the Doctor and help with any questions or worries we and our families have around taking them.
